Another successful New York Design Week 2014, and while we were not officially a part of the formal 12-day event list, our team held a closing VIP celebration. Nothing beats a little wine and designer meet & greets to set-up this past Memorial Weekend Holiday in just the right way…

This past Thursday, May 22, 2014, our team held a VIP event for our exclusive guests at the Kips Bay Decorator Show House 2014 and a reception following at The Palace Hotel. We have been given the honor to represent the sale of the Matthew Quinn designer kitchen that is has been displayed at the Kips Bay Show House for most of May. The last day is tomorrow, Thursday, May 29th, and if you haven’t made it yet it certainly is a must-see for all design enthusiasts.

This year it was held at The Villard Mansion (or Mansion on Madison) in Manhattan. Little known fact, the mansion was designed by the architecture firm McKim, Mead & White and constructed by Henry Villard that would act as a private residence in 1884. The Mansion on Madison stands among the great New York residences such as the Vanderbilts, so needless to say its restoration has brought the mansion back to its original glory.

Matthew Quinn gave our VIP guests his back story about the design, and spoke of his inspiration. We send a big thank you out to Matthew Quinn and Ric Parrish as it was a huge success!

Afterwards, we held a private reception for our guests at The Palace Hotel to celebrate in a casual yet vibrant environment at Tavern on 51. A fabulous venue to finish a glorious evening, and to slow down Design Week 2014 in NYC.
